About Us
Have you ever thought about how you should care for or preserve your family's or church's cemetery monuments. Traveling around this part of North Carolina, I have seen many old cemeteries. Many have well manicured lawns, unfortunately many of the monuments (appearance wise) are in poor condition. These cemeteries were established 100 to 200 plus years ago by our ancestors that erected these monuments to memorialize the dearly departed and to provide a record of their passing. The care and maintenance of these monuments is usually left to individual family members.
We service cemeteries in Caswell, Guilford, Rockingham and Stokes counties in North Carolina. We service the Danville, Martinsville and Ridgeway area of Virginia as well. It's our goal to make these family heirlooms look great once again and restore them to their former dignity. "Monuments are true works of art" and it's up to us to preserve them for generations to come.
Cleaning Your Monuments:
When Tilley Monument Cleaning and Preservation Service, LLC cleans the monuments, they are pressure washed. The pressure washers used are state of the art cleaning machines that can bring back the beauty of the monument. For accumulated fungus growth on Granite monuments, a mild chemical solution (Biodegradable) is applied to them to aid in the removal of the fungus and to etch the unpolished surfaces. Marble monuments generally require more solution as well.
Mission Statement
As a Mortician with Citty Funeral Home in Reidsville, North Carolina, I realized that after 10 years in the Funeral Industry and visiting numerous cemeteries all over the area that virtually no one was cleaning or preserving the cemetery monuments. So with this idea in mind, the concept was born to " Clean and Preserve with Dignity, One Stone at a Time" . Today, using Biodegradable solutions and state of the art equipment, Tilley Monument Cleaning is fully self-contained and ready to assist with all of your cemetery cleaning and preservation needs.
This is a relatively new concept here in our area, but I firmly believe that in a short time the citizens of Rockingham County and the surrounding municipalities will see the value, importance and necessity of this unique service. It's our goal and mission to restore these family heirlooms to their former dignity.
